Picture this...

It's a practice run of a school morning.

Your little one's uniform is hanging up ready for them, their shoes are unscuffed by the door and their bag is packed on the worktop.

They put on their uniform, looking to you as they practice their zip or their buttons.

Now, it's time to do their hair, you brush it through thinking about how they were, just yesterday, your tiny, precious newborn and all the emotions and memories come into your mind. Their hair is now long so may need some taming.

You make time for some last minute cuddles. They try on their shoes as they sit on the bottom step of the stairs. They are proud as they can do the velcro all by themselves. They look to you.

You want to see them completely ready, how grown they suddenly look. Whether they're trying to hide those first day nerves or beaming with excitement for the adventure ahead, you know exactly what they're feeling.

You straighten out their collar once more and scoop them up for some more cuddles that you just cannot get enough of.

Finally, you head to the door, backpack on and ready to go. You talk to them about their day ahead and how you cannot wait to hear all about it. You tell them how proud you are of them.

These are the little moments that become the biggest memories and they’re the ones worth holding onto forever.
